Safe Minds, Strong Teams: A Journey into Psychological Safety

6 February @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am

FWA Community Managers Meetup

Gain a deeper understanding of what psychological safety entails – the freedom for individuals to express thoughts, ideas, and concerns without fear of negative repercussions. It’s a confidence that fosters a supportive work culture, allowing individuals to thrive, take on challenges, and contribute to overall organisational success.

Expert speaker Joanne Hay, Director of Leadership Development at TEC, shares the origins and significance of psychological safety and explore its direct application to personal growth and development. Uncover the risks associated with a lack of psychological safety, where individuals may hesitate to speak up, stifling innovation and growth. Learn how leaders can create an environment conducive to open communication, encouraging honest and transparent discussions within their teams.

What you’ll learn

  • Understand the crucial role community managers play in empowering teams
  • The importance of reflection on leadership styles
  • Strategies and tips for both individuals and leaders to stand up, speak out, and cultivate psychological safety.
  • Recognise the power of mentorship and leadership in creating a safe space for others
  • Feel empowered with practical tools to enhance psychological safety in your workspace.

Don’t miss this opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions, gain valuable insights, and equip yourself with the knowledge and tools to foster a psychologically safe and productive team environment.
